Champs-Élysées

Since 1975 the last stage of the Tour France finishes on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. The boulevard is 1.9 km long and 70 meters wide and runs between the Place de la Concorde and the Place Charles de Gaulle, where the Arc de Triomphe is located. The last two years Marcel Kittel won the sprint and the four years before that Mark Cavendish was unbeatable. The last Parisienne who celebrated on the Champs-Élysées was Laurent Fignon. He won the Tour in 1983 and in 1984 and was second in 1989 with 8 seconds behind Greg LeMond.
